Media Center Services
The Library Media Department provides a variety of services designed to meet the teaching and learning goals of the University. This Department manages the library's collection of AV equipment, requests for delivery of AV equipment and equipment borrowing. The department provides laminating/transparency services and recording and dubbing of audio and videotapes for educational purposes. Video projectors and other electronic equipment may be checked out at the Media Circulation Desk on the 5th floor of the University Library.
The Library Media Department provides off-the-air taping services of campus related activities and programs. Faculty requests for this service should be submitted one week in advance to the Library Media Circulation Desk. Please refer to the Procedures link for additional information.

Media Requests
The LWLC Media Services Department is dedicated to delivering professional AV services, while striving to exceed the expectations of our clients. Our media team supports the academic and research needs of students, faculty, and staff at Alabama State University.
Media Services
LWLC video recording services are available for academic purposes and University related events only. Requests for video services should be submitted via the LWLC Media Department Online Request form at least two weeks prior to the date of the event. Please allow 10-14 days for editing and post production activities.
AV Service Requests
- The LWLC Media Department Online Request form should be completed and submitted for each AV service request.
- A Media Technician will contact the client to verify date, time, and location of event
- A project timeline will be determined by the Media Technician and the client. Project complexity and availability of resources may impact the project time line. Please allow 10-14 days for editing and final preparation of the video
- All footage acquired by LWLC Media and Information Services Department is the property of the LWLC Archives Department unless otherwise stated. The LWLC Archives Department reserves the right to use footage from any production for current or future projects
