Serials Department
About the Department
The Serials Department is located on the third floor of the library. This department housed a large collection of scholarly journals, popular magazines and newspapers in print, bound, microfiche and microfilm formats. To determine if the library subscribes to a particular periodical, check the online catalog and our databases. Latest issues of magazines are shelved on the current reading shelves to the right of the public service desk. Bound volumes and indexes are shelved beyond the computer area. Our microfiche and microfilm are filed in the cabinets located in the area beyond the newspaper area. If a title has not been bound or put on microform yet, please ask a serials staff worker. All serials items are shelved alphabetically by title. Magazines, journals, and indexes are for use in the library and can not be checked out. When a question arrives, ask for a serials staff member to help you in utilizing the serials collection on the third floor. Microform copiers are also located in this department.
