About the Collection

The Mark Gilmore papers consist of material relating to Councilman Mark Gilmore’s political, church, and community activities in Montgomery, Alabama.  The collection documents some of the many awards and recognitions that were received by Councilman Gilmore during his thirty-five years as an Alabama state employee and his twenty years service on the Montgomery City Council.
