Mission and Goal
Circulation Department Mission Statement
The Circulation Department, refusing to become a static unit, exists and
responds to changes within the Library and University. Patron records, reserve
materials, and hundreds of thousands of volumes are organized using an integrated
library management system (LMS). In keeping with the Library's Vision Statement
of the "virtual library", the Circulation Department is the center
of information access, diss- emanation and retrieval. Operating as a Public
Services department, Circulation serves a diverse clientele of students,
faculty, and staff, as well as clientele from local colleges and universities
and the community.
Circulation Department Goals
To broaden the Circulation services of information access, dissemination,
and retrieval to students, faculty, staff, and others in a prompt and proficient
practice.
