While on the third floor go to #1 on your map.
#1- The Serials Reference Desk is staffed to help you locate and use information on the third floor. The staff here can help you locate serials (journals, magazines, newspapers) microforms, and indexes. There are computers located near the desk for you to access the catalogue, databases, and the internet. Behind these computers are bound serials.
Continue to #2 on your map.
#2- These shelves are where the current magazines and journals are located. All serials are shelved alphabetically by title and can not be checked out from the library.
Continue to #3 on your map.
#3- Along the wall you will find current local and national newspapers. The current Montgomery Advertiser is located at the desk.
Please continue to #’s 4 and 5 on your map.
#’s 4 and 5- #4, Microform Readers/Printers are available to access microfilm and microfiche. It costs $.10 a page to print. #5, Microform storage. Many older journals, magazines, and newspapers are put into microform formats. Like other serials, they are organized alphabetically by title. The Libraries collection of ERIC documents are also stored here. ERIC documents are filed by ERIC number.
Books staring with the call numbers A-HE are also located on the third floor. These can be checked out from the library at the Circulation Desk on the first floor. In the Library’s catalog the location of all books that can be checked out will read Main Stax.
